Ostermontag (1991)

An Ordinary Day To Kill

The original 1991 version of OSTERMONTAG, the notorious German underground horror film. A deranged tale of obsession, mistaken identity and escalating violence, OSTERMONTAG follows Heiko, a disturbed young man consumed by an unreciprocated obsession with one of his stepsisters. But with her identical twin Nicole caught in the middle, Heiko’s fixation becomes a dangerous maze of confusion, jealousy and deception. His inability to distinguish fantasy from reality eventually ends in catastrophe when he murders the wrong sister. Years later, still haunted by what happened and unable to relinquish his obsession, Heiko sets a new plan in motion. Luring the woman he believes to be Nicole under false pretenses, he unknowingly begins another descent into deception, brutality and grotesque violence with consequences far beyond anything he imagined.
